Our Mentorship Program is an annual, nine-month-long, national initiative that pairs 10-15 mentors and mentees across the organization to accelerate the mentee’s personal and professional growth. Industry Council

Choice Properties is an active member of the Homeward Bound Industry Council. The Homeward Bound program offered by WoodGreen Community Services is an innovative 4-year education and employment program that enables homeless or inadequately housed single mothers to earn college diplomas, start careers, and achieve financial self-sufficiency. Since 2024, Choice has hired 3 interns from the program.

Our work is tied to the traditional territories of the Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island. We honour their history and stewardship of the land and are committed to supporting Indigenous Peoples in meaningful ways. Through our ongoing commitment to Reconciliation, we take intentional steps to build respectful and lasting relationships with Indigenous communities, including organizing events such as Indigenous Vendor Markets, National Indigenous History Month celebrations, and traditional smudging ceremonies.

Financial Well-Being

Competitive Compensation
Salaries and incentives are awarded objectively based on scope of work, impact and unique talent factors, and as per industry standards.  

National Pension Plan
We support our colleagues financial future with automatic pension savings plan. Colleagues receive a company match while contributing to the plan.  

Group RRSP
Through our group RRSP, colleagues can make regular contributions to the plan before income tax is applied and elect to have their annual bonus deposited to the RRSP pre-tax. 

Employee Unit Purchase Plan

Long-Term Incentive Program 
Director level and up are eligible to receive LTIP in the form of grants.

Work-Life Balance

Flex Working Model 
Ability for colleagues to work in the office or remotely, depending on role and department. Leaders are empowered to adjust as necessary for department needs, with a company-wide 2-day per week minimum. 

Vacation Policy 
From paid time-off to parental leave, our vacation policies are built to support you at every stage of your journey.  

Dress for your Day  
The Policy helps colleagues base their dress for the day based on their schedule. This flexibility allows you to dress-up or dress-down appropriately.

Summer Hours Policy 
Colleagues enjoy reduced Friday hours throughout the summer, giving everyone a little extra time to recharge, enjoy the season, and return refreshed for the week ahead. 

Learning & Development

Tuition Reimbursement  
Permanent full-time colleagues with a minimum of three months of continuous service are eligible for our tuition reimbursement support program to use towards post-graduate studies or a professional designation. 

Leadership Development Program
The program that equips our leaders with the tools and insights that are needed to effectively inspire and drive the success of our colleagues. Run in Cohorts of 20 cross-functional leaders, this multi-week program covers 7 core leadership skills.

Professional Membership Dues
Permanent full-time colleagues who have completed three months of service are eligible for one professional association membership (e.g. CA, CGA, CPA, HRPA, etc.) per calendar year.  

Mentorship Program
This national program is a nine-month commitment that connects 15-20 colleagues with experienced leaders to support them in augmenting their leadership and knowledge through dedicated mentorship relationships.

Colleague-Led Engagement  
Choice Properties has an active social calendar with events planned by our four colleague-led culture committees: Choice Cares Committee, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, Health and Wellness Committee, and Social Committee. There are Close to 50 colleagues who form these culture committees, bringing important and fun activities to life for our teams.
