Supporting residents with developmental disabilities through purpose-built rental homes
Across Ontario, more than 52,000 individuals living with developmental disabilities are on waiting lists for safe, inclusive housing. At Uniti, our purpose-built rental in Brampton, Choice Properties is proud to welcome residents from Mary Centre and Kerry’s Place Autism Services. Together with The Daniels Corporation and support from the Region of Peel, we’ve provided six thoughtfully designed, accessible units at below-market rents.
Designing for Well-Being and Independence
The homes were designed to support accessibility and independence:
- Fully accessible layouts tailored to residents with developmental disabilities
- Purpose-built amenities that foster independence and daily comfort
- Integration within a broader rental community to support social connection
Partnership Driving Impact
This project demonstrates what is possible when developers, non-profits, and municipalities collaborate with a shared purpose. By combining resources and expertise, we are creating housing solutions that deliver social and economic value, strengthening local neighbourhoods and supporting long-term community vitality.
Enduring Value Through Inclusive Communities
At Choice Properties, we are committed to creating Places People Thrive. Kerry’s Place at Uniti highlights how a thoughtfully designed development can provide accessible housing, foster independence, and contribute meaningfully to the social fabric of our communities.
