Founded in 1997, the CONTACT Photography Festival is an annual, city-wide celebration of lens-based art that takes place every May across Toronto, inviting audiences to engage with contemporary photography in meaningful and accessible ways. The exhibition is on view from May 1 to May 31, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important Update: The guided bike tour scheduled for Saturday, May 23 has been cancelled due to forecasted weather conditions. We will share updates if the program is rescheduled.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-about-the-artist\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the artist<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Artist<\/strong>: Yann Pocreau (b. 1980, Quebec City, Canada)<br><strong>Curator<\/strong>: Tara Smith, CONTACT Photography Festival<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Montreal-based artist Yann Pocreau works across photography, sculpture, and installation. Inspired by 35mm slides and by light and colour, his work reimagines found images through interventions that probe photography\u2019s complex connections to memory, time, and place.
