{"id":17232,"date":"2023-03-01T08:19:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-01T13:19:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.choicereit.ca\/news-release\/choice-properties-real-estate-investment-trust-realise-une-emission-de-debentures-non-garanties-de-premier-rang-de-serie-s-pour-un-montant-de-550-millions-de-dollars\/"},"modified":"2023-03-01T08:19:46","modified_gmt":"2023-03-01T13:19:46","slug":"choice-properties-real-estate-investment-trust-realise-une-emission-de-debentures-non-garanties-de-premier-rang-de-serie-s-pour-un-montant-de-550-millions-de-dollars","status":"publish","type":"news-release","link":"https:\/\/www.choicereit.ca\/fr\/news-release\/choice-properties-real-estate-investment-trust-realise-une-emission-de-debentures-non-garanties-de-premier-rang-de-serie-s-pour-un-montant-de-550-millions-de-dollars\/","title":{"rendered":"Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust r\u00e9alise une \u00e9mission de d\u00e9bentures non garanties de premier rang de s\u00e9rie S pour un montant de 550 millions de dollars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-cpr-paragraph-core\">Not for distribution to U.S. News Wire Services or dissemination in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto, Ontario, March 1, 2023 \u2013 Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (\u201cChoice Properties\u201d or the \u201cTrust\u201d) (TSX: CHP.UN) announced today that it has completed its previously announced issuance, on a private placement basis in certain Provinces of Canada (the \u201cOffering\u201d), of $550 million aggregate principal amount of series S senior unsecured debentures of the Trust bearing interest at a rate of 5.400% per annum and maturing on March 1, 2033 (the \u201cDebentures\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>The Trust intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering (i) to repay upon maturity its outstanding $250 million aggregate principal amount of 3.196% series G senior unsecured debentures due March 7, 2023, (ii) to repay all or a portion of the balance drawn on the Trust\u2019s credit facility, and (iii) for general business purposes.<\/p>\n<p>DBRS Morningstar has provided the Debentures with a credit rating of \u201cBBB\u201d (high) with a \u201cstable\u201d trend and S&amp;P Global Ratings has provided the Debentures with a credit rating of \u201cBBB\u201d. The Debentures rank equally with all other unsecured indebtedness of the Trust that has not been subordinated.<\/p>\n<p>The Debentures were sold on an agency basis by a syndicate of agents co-led by TD Securities, BMO Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets and Scotiabank. The Debentures offered have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from the registration requirements.
