{"id":17070,"date":"2020-05-21T08:41:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-21T12:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.choicereit.ca\/news-release\/choice-properties-real-estate-investment-trust-realise-une-emission-de-500-millions-de-dollars-de-debentures-non-garanties-de-premier-rang-de-serie-p\/"},"modified":"2020-05-21T08:41:00","modified_gmt":"2020-05-21T12:41:00","slug":"choice-properties-real-estate-investment-trust-realise-une-emission-de-500-millions-de-dollars-de-debentures-non-garanties-de-premier-rang-de-serie-p","status":"publish","type":"news-release","link":"https:\/\/www.choicereit.ca\/fr\/news-release\/choice-properties-real-estate-investment-trust-realise-une-emission-de-500-millions-de-dollars-de-debentures-non-garanties-de-premier-rang-de-serie-p\/","title":{"rendered":"Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust r\u00e9alise une \u00e9mission de 500 millions de dollars de d\u00e9bentures non garanties de premier rang de s\u00e9rie P"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\/NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWS WIRE SERVICES OR DISSEMINATION IN <span class=\"xn-location\">THE UNITED STATES<\/span>.\/<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-location\">TORONTO<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-chron\">May 21, 2020<\/span> \/CNW\/ \u2013 Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (\u00ab\u00a0Choice Properties\u00a0\u00bb or the \u00ab\u00a0Trust\u00a0\u00bb) (TSX: CHP.UN) announced today that it has completed its previously announced issuance, on a private placement basis in certain Provinces of <span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span> (the \u00ab\u00a0Offering\u00a0\u00bb), of <span class=\"xn-money\">$500 million<\/span> aggregate principal amount of series P senior unsecured debentures of the Trust  bearing interest at a rate of 2.848% per annum and maturing on <span class=\"xn-chron\">May 21, 2027<\/span> (the \u00ab\u00a0Debentures\u00a0\u00bb).<\/p>\n<p>The Trust intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering to (A) repay existing indebtedness, including the previously announced redemption in full of (i) the <span class=\"xn-money\">$100 million<\/span> aggregate principal amount of its 4.323% series B senior unsecured debentures due <span class=\"xn-chron\">January 15, 2021<\/span> and (ii) the <span class=\"xn-money\">$250 million<\/span> aggregate principal amount of its 3.498% series C senior unsecured debentures due <span class=\"xn-chron\">February 8, 2021<\/span>, as well as to repay all or a portion of the balance drawn on the Trust\u2019s credit facility and (B) for general business purposes.<\/p>\n<p>DBRS Limited has provided the Debentures with a credit rating of \u00ab\u00a0BBB\u00a0\u00bb with a \u00ab\u00a0Stable\u00a0\u00bb trend and Standard and Poor\u2019s Ratings Services has provided the Debentures with a credit rating of \u00ab\u00a0BBB\u00a0\u00bb. The Debentures rank equally with all other unsecured indebtedness of the Trust that has not been subordinated.<\/p>\n<p>The Debentures were sold on an agency basis by a syndicate of agents co-led by TD Securities, RBC Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets, BMO Capital Markets and Scotiabank. The Debentures offered have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and may not be offered or sold in <span class=\"xn-location\">the United States<\/span> absent registration or an applicable exemption from the registration requirements.
