The portfolio comprises over 1.3 million square feet across <span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span>. The total purchase price was approximately <span class=\"xn-money\">$211.9 million<\/span>, of which approximately <span class=\"xn-money\">$112.2 million<\/span> was paid to Loblaw through the issuance of Class B limited partnership units (the \u00ab\u00a0Class B Units\u00a0\u00bb) of Choice Properties Limited Partnership, with the remainder in cash. The Class B Units are exchangeable on a one-for-one basis for, and are economically equivalent to, trust units of the REIT (the \u00ab\u00a0REIT Units\u00a0\u00bb).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">As a result of the Transaction, Loblaw has been issued 10,698,143 Class B Units representing approximately 2.8 per cent of the aggregate issued and outstanding Class B Units and REIT Units as of <span class=\"xn-chron\">October 8, 2014<\/span> following the closing of the Transaction, on a fully exchanged basis.
